Mayor

Anna Hetman born July 24, 1962. Married, with two sons. She has a master’s degree in special education - oligophrenopedagogy, speech therapy and therapy. She also completed postgraduate studies in management and organization. For 23 years she has been associated with the community of disabled people as a teacher, and since 2002 she has been the head of Priest and Professor Józef Tischner’s Special Education School Complex No. 10 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. She has been awarded many times, including by the Minister of National Education, the Superintendent of Education and the Mayor of the City. In 2014, she was awarded the honorary title of professor of education - the highest degree of professional advancement of teachers. Anna Hetman educates young teaching staff on postgraduate studies and qualification courses. She publishes for educational circles.
In the 2010-2014 term, she was a councillor of the Silesian Voivodeship Sejmik. In the Sejmik, she worked in the Committee on Budget, Treasury and Finance, the Committee on Social Policy and Health Protection, the Committee on Education, Science and Culture, the Ad hoc Committee on NGOs, and the ad hoc “Honorary Badge Committee for Merit for the Silesian Voivodeship”. She is a member of the Parish Council of the Scholarship Fund at the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and an activist of many non-governmental organizations.
