Jastrzębie-Zdrój is a city where tradition meets modernity. It is here that you can feel the charm of the old spa, understand the power of historical changes, and find a place to work, study and rest.

The direct connection to the A1 motorway makes Jastrzębie-Zdrój a city with a growing economic position and broad prospects for the future.

The district of Zdrój, especially the Spa Park, reminds us of the spa history of our city. Although today the spa does not operate anymore, the memory of it remains alive thanks to well-preserved monuments and renovations that have restored the former splendour of post-spa buildings.

Jastrzębie-Zdrój is a place of great historical events. It was here that on September 3, 1980, the Inter-Enterprise Strike Committee and the Government Commission signed an agreement in which twenty-one demands were made. These included free Saturdays, an increase in wages, the minimum wage and restrictions on government administration.

Today, Jastrzębie-Zdrój offers a wide range of education, as well as cultural and sports events. There are many educational and cultural centres and associations here.
